The Board members also use their own resources, expertise and networks to comprehend the success of the EFSD. Board Members and members join EFSD by invitation only.
The Economic Forum for Sustainable Development is set up by Professor Manahel Thabet. Her leadership will guarantee rigorous standards in the context of ensuring a high-quality economic platform to deal transparently with all the difficulties of the reconstruction phase of Yemen. Professor Thabet’s credentials are as a world-renowned economic figure, recognized by The UN and International community, and who enjoys wide privileges, holding numerous global recognitions, one of them being the significant privilege of the Freedom of the City of London.
Board members have been selected carefully and are free from any and all engagement with political parties, to ensure that the economic outlook is neutral, away from the current political conflict.
Mr. Mohammed Abdo Saeed, a businessman who has contributed significantly to moving the Yemeni economy to local, regional and global content. The impartiality of the membership is the essential foundation that will give high credibility to the strategic plans and economic visions that will receive a strong and assured support of international financial institutions, donors and the United Nations. This initiative, therefore, launches the first and inaugural highly credible Yemeni Economic Forum. Up to now, no such body has existed to strategies and direct the future of this war-ravaged, yet potentially rich and fertile land!
Mr. Fuad Mohamed Anam a businessman with highly professional experienced in the world of business, trade management and economy for more than 30 years. Participate and attend many local, regional and International forums during the past few years. Maintaining excellent reputation and contacts in business, economic, and social circles in Yemen and abroad. Members of many management trade, Business and associations. Presented and submit many advises to the Yemeni governmental sectors to reform and maximize management style, economic growth for better life and sustainable development in Yemen.
He was born in 1955; married and has three children, he received his first bachelor from the University of Economy in Aden. After his graduation, he worked in the financial and banking sector before his appointment as a Governor for the Central Bank. He worked as an economic researcher and participated in concentrated programs in the Institutions on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington. He served as a member in the Central Bank’s board from 2002-2015; in October 2015, he was appointed as the Minister on Finance then as the Governor of the Yemeni Central Bank in September 2016. -Retired

Michael Stern is a Chartered Accountant and served as a Member of Parliament for the British Conservative Party for 14 years.
